Hardy's to team with Top Flight on AEW Dark Elevation

Matt and Jeff Hardy have teamed up with Dante and Darius Martin (Top Flight) as part of a eight-man tag-team match on AEW Dark Elevation, which premieres later today on You Tube. AEW's Twitter Page has announced the match on tonight's episode will see them pitted against the AFO's Private Party, Angelico and the Blade. The Hardy's have been locked in a feud against Andrade El Idolo's (AFO) faction since Matt Hardy was voted out of their joint faction and Jeff made his debut appearance to defend him from his former stable. It promises to be an enjoyable match with Top Flight known for their signature high-flying abilities, something which should compliment Jeff's style.





Robinson to leave NJPW

Juice Robinson will leave New Japan Pro-Wrestling when his contract extension expires at the end of April. Robinson appeared on Wrestling Observer Live, confirming he had enjoyed his time at NJPW and the camaraderie he had with the roster there. Juice was a two-time IWGP United States Champion and also won the IWGP Tag Team Championship whilst at NJPW. He has also appeared on Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor.


Matt Cardona on The Miz

Matt Cardona has named the opponent he would face if he were to return to WWE. Cardona appeared as Zack Ryder on WWE between 2005 and 2010 and under his real name since gone onto hold titles and has currently taken on a 'belt collector' gimmick. Amongst the belts he currently holds are the Impact Digital Media Championship and National Wrestling Alliance's World Heavyweight Championship. When asked on Twitter who he would faced if he were to return to WWE, Cardona replied Miz to beat him.


Jonathan Gresham pulls out of shows due to injury-

Ring of Honor World Champion, Jonathan Gresham unfortunately had to pull out of a defence of his Progress Wrestling World Championship this weekend due to injury issues. Gresham appeared in a short video on the promotions Twitter page to explain this. Gresham will now appear at the UK based promotion in May to defend his Championship. He recently defended his ROH World Championship on AEW's Battle of the Belts II special against Dalton Castle. Rumours have been circulating that he has/will sign with AEW in a deal that would likely see him continue to appear on ROH programming.


WWE Plans for Cody Rhodes

Reports are circulating that suggest WWE has big plans for Cody Rhodes with the American Nightmare considered one of the top 'baby faces' on the RAW Brand. Wrestling News detail how Rhodes is being given more television time, has been given a level of additional creative freedom in terms of his promos and presentation and may even feud with Roman Reigns down the line.
