By Dan, Wrestling Spot Editor

Hook has become a become phenomenon with All Elite Wrestling fans with 'Send Hook' established as a key buzz phrase. Fans were excited to hear the rising star speak for the first time on AEW Rampage last week as he progressed his angle with the very nice and very evil Danhausen. In this article, we take a look at some of the cold-hearted, handsome devil's best moments so far.

1) Hook's in-ring debut

Hook was already well known to AEW fans for being part of the Team Taz stable but there was much intrigue and anticipation as Hook made his in-ring debut on AEW Rampage on 8th December 2021. Matched up against Fuego Del Sol for his first outing, he entered the fray with more than an air of confidence to the Action Bronson song 'The Chairman's Intent.' His performance was something to behold as he quickly took control of Fuego, locking him into a front chancery and north-south choke before even walking down referee Bryce Remsburg. The impressive range of moves continued with Hook catching Fuego's ankle and transitioning into a freestyle bow and arrow. Hook went onto claim a submission victory with what has become his signature finisher move Redrum, a half-nelson choke in the same style of his father's Taz. AEW Commentator Excalibur summed up the performance with the quote 'Team Taz, you guys build assassins!' as AEW's newest star left the ring.

2) Hook defeats Bear Bronson

Hook followed up his impressive debut with an equally eye-catching second victory over Bear Bronson, a wrestler with a significant size and weight advantage over him. With some impressive early moves including repetitive body shots and a hammer-lock transitioned into a hold. However, perhaps most impressively after a nasty looking drop from Bronson, Hook quickly rose to his feat to stun his opponent with a clothesline and northern lights with the release. Hook soon locked in his Redrum to claim his second win.

3. Hook feuds with QT Marhsall

Hook's first major angle seen him feud with QT Marshall in what was dubbed a student vs. mentor feud. This entertaining feud see Marshall dropped by Hook on more than one occasion, much to the crowds delight, as he the mistake to confront Hook. There were also victories over another Factory member, Aaron Solo and a entertaining sequence in which Hook proceeded to make light work of Marshall's wrestling students. Hook would go onto score a victory over Marshall himself in his first ever match at one of AEW's four marquee PPV events, with another dominating performance during the buy-in show.

4. Hook receives his certificate of accomplishment from QT Marshall

Following his defeat by Hook at Revolution, QT Marshall invited Hook out to receive the first ever QT Marshall Certificate of Accomplishment on AEW Rampage. In a segment which didn't disappoint, the award was presented with pomp, circumstance and confetti before Hook broke the frame of the certificate of accomplishment by smashing Aaron Solo's head into the it and then calmly made his exit.

5. Hook appears immune to Danhausen's curses.

The impact of Danhausen's 'very nice and very evil' curses have quickly become established in AEW. Who can forget the impact they had in helping Orange Cassidy to defeat Anthony Bowens on AEW Rampage? The curses seemed be working a treat for Danhausen, even Lord William Regal could not shake off their indescribable effects. That was until, of course, Danhausen tried to inflict his curse on Hook in the aforementioned segment in which the cold-hearted handsome devil responded to the presentation of his certificate of achievement in his own unique style. Hook, however, was the first to be immune to the curse it seemed. This has led to several comic encounters with Danhausen surprising Hook with more failed attempts to curse him. Eventually, a exasperated Danhausen appeared during Hook's recent AEW Dynamite debut against Anthony Henry. After the match, Danhausen stated if Hook was not to be cursed by him, he would have to fight him, even being bold enough to lay a finger on Hook before perhaps realising the seriousness of this and withdrawing. There was a rare flash of a smile for Hook before he barged past Danhausen and took his exit.

6. Hook gives Danhausen the attention he has been asking for.

AEW fans finally got to hear Hook speak for the first time on last weeks AEW Rampage. During a segment, Danhausen again surprised Hook and attempted to provoke the cold-hearted handsome devil by stomping on his trademark snacks. Hook lived up to his ice cold reputation pinning Danhausen quickly against the wall and responding 'you want my attention, you got it now.' Many are hoping this will be the start of a angle which will see what would be a intriguing match-up between the 'very nice and very evil' Danhausen and the 'cold hearted' Hook.
